APT Instruments can repair virtually any small gauge from any type or year vehicle, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreation vehicles, boats, military vehicles, farm equipment, aircraft snowmobiles, lawnmowers, exercise equipment and yes, even wood planers.  We fix both mechanical and electric gauges, including temperature gauges with capillary tubes (bourden tube and bulb assembly).

For help in identifying the types of gauges and determining the problems, please see our Troubleshooting Guide.  If you have questions, call the APT tech line at 952-881-7095.

PRICING   Because of the vast makes and models of small gauges, we cannot provide a price quote here.   Most jobs must be seen by a technician to determine a price.  Please don't email us for a quote.

However, electric gauges such as fuel, temp, oil, amp and volt generally run $65 to $125 each plus s&h, depending on time and parts required.   Mechanical gauges, such as oil pressure, water pressure and fuel pressure run from $65 to $165 plus s&h.  Water temperature gauges with capillary tubes run from $145 to $185 plus s&h.  These prices are for repairs only and excludes shipping and costs for cosmetic restoration.

Before packing to send your gauges to APT, see Shipping & Handling.    For new gauges, see our online Smiths catalog.  We also have a few surplus small gauges.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, money orders and checks.   Dealer purchase orders are accepted with prior approval.
